Moving into an IT-enhanced future, the iParamed e-Exam, an electronic netbook, internet-based system captures and transmits paramedical exam information and delivers a complete, error-free digital case file on any insurance applicant directly to the carrier.

iParamed e-Exam Receive immediate, wireless health data delivery via the iParamed e-Exam technology platform. It delivers a complete digital case file for any life insurance applicant, anywhere in the U.S. via just one touch with an applicant.

On average, insurance companies spend about $500 to underwrite a case. We can cut that cost in half. We have trained and certified iParamed e-Exam examiners placed nationwide.

To implement the iParamed e-Exam, examiners are provided with a computer notebook that uses wireless connectivity to gain access to all necessary application forms. The medical history interview is completed face-to-face with the applicant, who can apply his or her signature using a digital signature pad (similar to what is used at grocery stores when swiping a credit card).

The examiner submits completed exam through internet connectivity transmitting the part B to a server managed by Portamedic, which in turn transmits the completed information to a carrier as an image or streamlined data directly to the carrier’s database system.

iParamed Expedite Reduce processing time for both individual and group insurance products–up to seven days faster than current approaches. iParamed Expedite combines the quality and accuracy of a face-to-face paramed exam immediately followed by a tele-med interview (Part II or Part B), providing a complete and accurate application in one touch.

The iParamed Expedite process includes two parts:
- A paramedical exam at the applicant’s home or office…
- Immediately followed by a toll-free, fact-based interview on the applicant’s own phone.
It is all done in one visit to circumvent any additional calls, followups or checkups and should take approximately less than one hour total.

Expedite integrates applicant information into electronic files tailored to insurance company workflow and underwriting systems. 100% Imaging and Document Management We offer images of all completed documents; transmitted secure with pgp encryption to an ftp or electronic file submission. Transmission can be in batch, hourly or at any interval preferred.

Documents are imaged immediately upon receipt. Imaged files are transmitted to carriers, eliminating additional steps for the user such as copying and sending documents.

Instant Scheduling Instant scheduling can reduce cancellation rates and increase placement ratios while shaving up to two days from a policy’s turnaround time. Expanded hours allow “on the spot” scheduling of a paramed exam while an agent is still with an applicant. An agent simply dials the Portamedic tollfree number, hands the phone to the applicant and we will schedule his or her exam immediately.

Orders called into Instant Scheduling are often scheduled and completed faster.
More than 31,000 cases are secured through instant scheduling on a yearly basis, and 70% of all instant scheduling orders are scheduled the same day the order was taken.

Managed Scheduling Center Exams are scheduled and completed faster – with fewer calls – by using our centralized Managed Scheduling Center. Trained, U.S.-based schedulers work six days a week to provide an improved experience for agents and applicants.

Due to our implementation of the Managed Schedule Center, current cycle time continues to be under 9 days.

The Dallas-based Managed Scheduling Center in most cases contacts clients within four hours of receiving the request. All Portamedic branch offices participate in the Managed Schedule process—with a noted success rate of a two- to three-day reduction in cycle time since its inception.
