We have achieved certifications and registrations by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and were the first fully automated insurance lab utilizing one barcode.

  • Custom Data Evaluation  We offer a wide variety of statistical reports both on a routine and ad hoc basis for each client, we provide on site educational seminars to clients at no cost, and publish a scientific-based newsletter, “Envoy,” one of the most informative publications in the industry.

    Preferred products can be more aggressive and open the door to increased sales with redesigned preferred data. We work with your company’s measures to focus on putting the data to work for you. For example, height and weight charts can now be built around actual insurance mortality. Current lipid requirements at most companies may be too restrictive and blood pressure mortality can be better defined.

  • Morbidity/Mortality Unique Data  Heritage Labs mortality data are unique in the insurance industry and have been widely adopted in medical literature as a methodological advance. Heritage’s methods are associated with previously undetected higher mortality.

    Heritage is unique in its ability to provide proprietary lab mortality data to our clients developed by our medical director, David Winsemius MD, MPH. This data are actively evaluated in conjunction with reinsurance companies to develop mortality-based preferred criteria. These criteria can be used by our clients to develop more competitive products and more competitive underwriting practices.

    We have a database of more than four million insurance applicants with over 42,000 deaths, which when matched against the SS Death Master File, can help determine the mortality consequences of laboratory tests.
