Business Analysts
Job Summary:  In this role you'll be responsible for understanding the organization's direction, structure, and requirements; analyzing the organization's industry and competitive position; documenting and analyzing required information and data; preparing requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations. In addition, you will be responsible for understanding the technical design specifications; defining test conditions; developing accurate and complete testing plans; conducting testing according to plan and identifying and documenting system deficiencies and recommending solutions. This is a results oriented position and you will be expected to adapt to and successfully initiate, develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members. Exceptional communication, organizational, interpersonal and relationship building skills are a must.
 
Duties/Responsibilities include:
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business processes and user needs.
  • Formulate systems and technology approaches required to implement business strategies.
  • Develop business cases for business management setting out problem definition, solution options, cost analysis, design considerations, implementation timeliness, and recommendations.
  • Documents and analyzes required information and data.
  • Write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify programs.
  • Assist in preparing test plan documentation.
  • Keen understanding of how various issues affect each other and the outcome of projects.
  • Proactively initiates, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with team members.
  • Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
To qualify, you must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical subject (e.g., Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business Administration).
  • 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or a related area.
  • Familiar with Insurance industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills essential.
  • Experience in project management techniques is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of internet and client/server architectures.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, SQL and database design.
  • Must be able to follow through with commitments and foster mutual trust with Innovators.
